Lack of access to laboratory facilities and technical expertise can be a key barrier to growth for SMEs in the Environmental and Clean Technology (ECT) sector. However, member companies can take advantage of SETN's considerable in-house laboratory facilities,

providing capabilities across a wide range of environmental matrices including soils, waters, wastes and other materials. These include GC-FID, GC-MS, ICP-OES, HPLC and IC. SETN can also offer space to undertake bench scale trials in our environmental laboratory. Support is given to undertake field trials e.g. finding suitable sites, experimental design, setting data quality objectives, testing and interpretation of results.
